Couples seeking a nice escape
We had a fantastic dinner experience at the tavern downstairs, the crabcake was mind-blowingly delicious and the ambiance was just perfect for a cozy evening. The gardens felt like a scene out of a fairy tale, especially at night with all the fairy lights in the trees.
It wasn't inexpensive, but for what we got it was still manageable.

The pool was a hit with the kids, and we enjoyed some live music by a local artist one evening. The food in the restaurant was delightful, especially breakfast.
My kids wished there were more kid-friendly activities at the hotel. Maybe a game room or something would keep them entertained while we relax.

The historic facility boasts charming antique decor and a beautiful garden that adds a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The food is remarkable, particularly the crabcakes and the steaming wok of prawns. However, the bathroom in the King Suite has poorly thought-out design elements like a high sink and a limited showerhead adjustment that detracted from the experience. Additionally, the front desk staff could have been more welcoming, as their demeanor felt disengaged at times.
